Nova Poshta warns of massive fraudulent mailing: how the scheme works
27 November 2025 06:53
Cyber fraudsters have become more active again, with users receiving fake letters allegedly from Nova Poshta informing them of non-existent debts. The company announced this on its official Telegram channel and urged customers to be especially careful, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
How the new phishing scheme works
According to Nova Poshta, fraudsters disguise their mailings as official company messages:
- copy the logo and corporate identity;
- change the sender’s address;
- intimidate with fictitious debts;
- encourage the recipient to open an attachment or follow a link.
“These emails have nothing to do with Nova Poshta or NOVA Group companies. The goal of the fraudsters is to make the customer click on a link or open a file,” the company explained.

Cyber specialists are already at work
The cybersecurity department of Nova Poshta is actively blocking this phishing campaign.
The company is cooperating with specialized services and providers to stop the activities of attackers and minimize the risks to users.
How to recognize fake emails: expert advice
To avoid becoming a victim of a fraudulent scheme, Nova Poshta emphasizes the basic rules of digital security:
1. Check the sender’s address
Official emails are sent exclusively from the company’s branded domains. Any mistakes, extra characters or strange domains are a sign of a fake.
2. Don’t open suspicious files or follow dubious links
Even a single click can lead to data theft or device infection.
3. If you accidentally open an attachment
- change your passwords immediately;
- check active sessions in your accounts;
- close all unknown connections.
4. Turn on two-factor authentication
Protect your email, banking, messenger, and social media accounts.
5. Send suspicious emails to spam
Then delete them from your inbox.
The company emphasizes:
“Being careful and following the recommendations is the easiest way to protect your data.”
Not the first wave of cyber-manipulation
Earlier, on October 28, the State Tax Service also reported massive fake letters “from the tax office” sent to Ukrainians by fraudsters.
Cyber experts remind that during the period of active attacks, it is important to remain vigilant and not to respond to suspicious messages, even if they look plausible.
