New opportunities for Ukrainian producers: fish products allowed in public procurement

The Ministry of Economy and the State Fisheries Agency have added domestic fish products to the Prozorro Market catalog. Now, government customers can quickly and without bureaucracy purchase fresh-frozen fish directly from Ukrainian producers.

Support for national producers
“From now on, state customers—from healthcare institutions to law enforcement agencies—can quickly, conveniently, and without unnecessary bureaucracy purchase high-quality fish directly from Ukrainian producers,” the statement said.
Prozorro Market now offers a wide range of fresh-frozen Ukrainian fish, including silver carp, carp, catfish, and other species that meet high standards of quality and food safety.
The inclusion of domestic fish in Prozorro Market not only expands the access of state customers to high-quality products but also contributes to the development of the Ukrainian aquaculture and fish processing industry. This supports existing jobs and creates conditions for increasing production capacity, the press service emphasizes.
The State Agency for Fisheries and Fish Industry encourages producers to actively participate in the marketplace and public customers to give preference to Ukrainian products. Joint work in the domestic market is an important step towards strengthening the country’s food security.
