30 December 19:03

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that he has already decided on the candidate for the new head of the Presidential Office, but has not yet disclosed the name of the future head.

The head of state said this during a conversation with journalists, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.

“As for the head of the Office, I have made up my mind. The information will be a little later,” Zelensky said.

What the president announced

In addition to the personnel decision regarding the Presidential Office, Zelenskyy announced expected changes among the heads of regional administrations. According to him, the rotations may take place in early 2026, but specific regions are not yet named.

Resignation of Andriy Yermak

The position of the head of the Presidential Office became vacant after Volodymyr Zelenskyy dismissed Andriy Yermak on November 28. The official reasons for the resignation were not publicly announced.

At the same time, prior to his dismissal, Yermak’s place was searched by the NABU and the SAPO, according to media reports. The law enforcement agencies themselves did not disclose the details of these actions.

MP from the Voice party Yaroslav Zheleznyak claimed that Andriy Yermak allegedly appeared on the so-called Mindich tapes under the codename Ali Baba. There is no official confirmation of this information from the investigating authorities.

A few hours after the announcement of his release, Andriy Yermak said that he was going to the front. He explained his decision by saying that he did not want to “create problems for the president”.
