New French Prime Minister resigns

French Prime Minister Sébastien Le Coronneu has written a letter of resignation. This was reported by BFMTV with reference to the Elysee Palace, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.

“The prime minister has submitted his resignation to [French President] Emmanuel Macron, the Elysee Palace said. The head of state accepted it,” the statement said.

on September 8, the French National Assembly (the lower house of parliament) expressed no confidence in the government of Francois Bayrou over the proposed austerity package, including cuts in social spending. The next day, Bayrou resigned, after which President Emmanuel Macron appointed Sébastien Le Coronne as Prime Minister.

The day before, it was reported that the French president had instructed the new prime minister to form a Cabinet by the evening of October 5.
