The service is intended for:
- war veterans
- people with disabilities resulting from war
Starting in 2025, they will be able to fully recover the costs of auto insurance.
The compensation mechanism works as follows:
- 50% of the cost is covered by the insurance company
- the state reimburses the remaining 50%
Who is implementing the program
The service is implemented by:
- Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine
- Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine
The Motor (Transport) Insurance Bureau of Ukraine is a partner of the program.
According to the service’s developers, the program’s goal is to simplify access to government compensation for those who participated in defending the country.
“Diya” continues to expand its digital services
The Diya app remains the key platform for digital government services.
The number of service users has exceeded 24 million.
Recently, new features have also been added to the app:
- applying for basic social assistance;
- replacing a vehicle registration certificate;
- obtaining a criminal record check online;
- launching the first government service with automatic document verification using artificial intelligence.
Digitization of Social Services
Ukraine is actively transitioning government services to a digital format through Diya. This allows people to access services without visiting government offices and reduces application processing times.
Compensation for auto insurance has become one of the services aimed at supporting war veterans.
