A number of trains are running with delays: Russia has attacked the railway infrastructure

On the night of November 6, Russian troops again launched massive attacks on the railway infrastructure of frontline communities. The attack damaged stations, energy facilities, and tracks, causing delays in a number of passenger trains. This was reported by Oleksiy Kuleba, Vice Prime Minister for Reconstruction of Ukraine, Minister of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports

According to Kuleba, dozens of enemy drones are targeting the railway infrastructure every night. The liquidation of the aftermath of the attacks, restoration of power supply and track facilities is underway.

“Kharkiv region is under attack, where the enemy is trying to slow down the connection with the East of the country, trains have been transferred to alternative routes and continue to run. In Chernihiv region, there were attacks on areas important for maintaining communication with the Ukrainian North,” Kuleba said.

Which trains are running with delays

In Dnipropetrovs’k region, the enemy attacked the railroad’s energy infrastructure and one of the stations. Reserve diesel locomotives are being used to maintain traffic.

In Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions, delays of up to five hours are caused by damaged tracks.

In addition, train No. 733 Dnipro-Kyiv is running with an auxiliary locomotive, with a delay of less than an hour.

According to Ukrzaliznytsia, the following eastbound trains are delayed:

  • #102 Kherson – Husarivka;
  • no. 104 Lviv – Husarivka;
  • no. 712 Kyiv – Husarivka;
  • no. 92 Odesa – Husarivka.

Due to damage in the Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia directions, delays of up to 5 hours for the following trains:

  • no. 31/32 Zaporizhzhia – Przemyśl;
  • no. 119/120 Dnipro – Chełm (with trailer cars Pavlohrad – Kyiv);
  • no. 37/38 Zaporizhzhia – Kyiv.

“We ask passengers to take into account possible delays when planning their trips. Some suburban trains in Sumy region and from Chernihiv region to Kyiv will also run late,” Ukrzaliznytsia said.

Traffic restrictions in Donetsk region

The day before, the Ministry of Development reported that Ukrzaliznytsia had temporarily restricted the operation of long-distance and suburban trains in the Kramatorsk direction. This decision was made at the request of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration due to the aggravation of the security situation.

Now long-distance trains run only to Gusarivka or Barvinkove stations.
