On Tuesday, 9 July, emergency and rescue operations were completed at the Okhmatdyt Children’s Hospital after a missile attack by the Russian Armed Forces the day before. This was reported by [Kommersant] with reference to information from the Kyiv City Military Administration.
The agency reported that the missile had completely destroyed the toxicology building with the department of chronic and acute intoxication, where children undergo dialysis. Most other buildings sustained significant damage. The surgical, oncology, somatic, intensive care, radiology and radiotherapy departments, an operating unit, two intensive care units and the country’s only onco-haematology laboratory were affected.

Currently, 94 children have been evacuated to other hospitals in Kyiv. In the surviving departments of the children’s hospital, 68 children remained for treatment. 465 patients in need of routine treatment were examined and temporarily discharged.

As a result of the Russian attack at this location, 2 people died and 32 wounded sought medical care. Eight children were hospitalised with injuries.

In total, rescuers worked for exactly one day to clear the rubble and rescue people.
