“Okean Elzy”, “Underground Stand-Up”, “Curlers”: the government has updated the booking for the cultural front

The Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications of Ukraine has granted the status of critical enterprises to two more well-known Ukrainian showbiz companies, Supersymmetry and Underground Stand-up. This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to Interfax-Ukraine.
Supersymmetry LLC, which manages the rights to the work of the Okean Elzy band led by Svyatoslav Vakarchuk, and Underground Standup LLC, a comedy project by Svyatoslav Zagaykevych, received this status in accordance with orders from the Ministry of Culture from May 9 to July 16.
The Ministry recognized these organizations as critical to the economic functioning and life support of the population under martial law, as well as to meet the needs of the Armed Forces and other military formations.
Not only “Okean Elzy”
Along with Okean Elzy, a wide range of media companies and cultural institutions were confirmed or granted critical status for the first time. Among the media organizations, this status was granted to Vesti Media Center, Akademia and Antologia publishing houses, UNIAN TV, Interfax-Ukraine, Bukovynska Hvilya radio station, Bigudi and 1 1 Ukraine TV channels, Globus Kharkiv Book Factory, Ukrainian Radio Group, Oleksandr Dovzhenko National Center, and Khanenko National Museum of Art.
The status was also granted to consulting and technology companies, including Vedanta-Expert, New Freedom, Polart, Novyi Obriy, NF, PKA Group, Digital Solutions, and SES Sirius Ukraine.

Television Guard
It is worth recalling that the Ministry of Culture has previously confirmed the critical status for numerous media companies and cultural institutions. Among the TV channels, this status has been granted to We-Ukraine, Channel 5, 1 1, Pryamyy, Inter, ICTV, Novy Kanal, STB, TET, 2 2, Kyivstar TV, Viasat, M1, M2, and TRK Lux, which includes Channel 24, Lux FM, Radio Maximum, Radio Nostalgie, Zaxid.net, and Football 24.
Among the media platforms and agencies, the status was confirmed for UP, NV, Khmarochos Media, Radio Love, Kinokit, Zeonbud, Ukrinform, Belsat, Sky News, World Inside Out, sweet.tv, as well as publishing houses A-BA-BA-GA-LA-MA-GA, Rudana, and Ukrvydavpoligraphia.
Cultural front
In the music sector, the Bez Obmezheniy and Boombox bands, as well as more than 80 theaters, operas, circuses, ensembles, chapels, orchestras, reserves, museums, libraries and specialized educational institutions across Ukraine, have critical status.
These decisions were made as part of the updated mobilization reservation procedure that came into effect at the end of 2024. According to the new rules, companies must confirm their criticality and ensure that the average salary of their employees is at least 2.5 times the minimum wage, which is UAH 20,000 per month.
