Okhmatdyt has a new head: what is known about Urin

A new CEO has been officially appointed at the Okhmatdyt National Children’s Specialized Hospital in Kyiv. The position has been taken by anesthesiologist Oleksandr Urin, who has been acting as the hospital’s interim director for the past year and a half. This was reported by the hospital’s press service, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".

Who is Oleksandr Urin?

Oleksandr Oleksandrovych Urin has been working at Okhmatdyt for over 20 years. He is:

  • an anesthesiologist;
  • head of the department of intensive and efferent therapy for acute and chronic intoxications;
  • has managed the hospital as acting director for the past 1.5 years.

In particular, it was under his leadership that the institution operated during the recovery period after the missile strike on Kyiv.

What is known about his management approach

The hospital’s statement emphasizes that Oleksandr Urin’s management style is dominated by:

  • systematicity;
  • personal responsibility;
  • well-considered management decisions;
  • a focus on practical actions without loud statements.

The appointment came after a long period of acting in the role, which ensured the stability of one of the country’s key children’s medical centers.
