OKKO and WOG raised diesel prices: what is the reason?

29 October 16:51

OKKO and WOG filling station chains have raised diesel prices by UAH 1 per liter. This is the first diesel price increase since the end of June 2025. This was reported by the publication Naftorynok, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.

Now a liter of regular diesel fuel costs UAH 59.99, and premium diesel fuel costs UAH 62.99.

Why prices have risen

According to market data, since the beginning of October, wholesale prices for diesel fuel have increased by 2.65 UAH/l, or 5.6%.

This growth was the main factor behind the revision of retail prices in large networks.

Experts explain that the increase is due not only to changes in the global market, but also to the reduction in diesel imports to Ukraine that was observed during the summer.

How prices for other types of fuel have changed

Despite the rise in diesel prices, prices for gasoline and autogas remained stable:

  • A-95 – 61.99 UAH/l
  • Premium A-95 – 64.99 UAH/l
  • A-100 – 71.99 UAH/l
  • Autogas (LPG) – 35.98-35.99 UAH/l

In recent days, other operators such as Marshal, BRSM-Nafta, Chipo, BVS, as well as local networks have also made spot price adjustments: Vt Petroleum, SVR, Slon, Dniproneft, Peron, Neon and others.

What experts say

Market analysts predict that growth may be short-lived, as the wholesale segment is already partially stabilizing.
However, the situation on foreign markets – in particular, oil prices and the dollar – may again affect the cost of fuel in Ukraine.

In the summer, NBU Deputy Governor Sergiy Nikolaychuk said that no significant fluctuations in fuel prices are expected until the end of 2025, but he acknowledged that short-term fluctuations are possible due to import risks and the energy situation in Europe.

In June-July 2025, Ukraine saw a decrease in diesel fuel imports from the main supply routes.
Instead, the share of direct purchases from producers increased, as reported by the State Customs Service.

The state-owned Ukrnafta also announced new tenders for the purchase of gasoline, diesel, and autogas, while stating that it would not buy fuel of Indian origin.
