In June, the Ukrainian media reported that football executive Oleksandr Povorozniuk intended to sell his football club Ingulets. Commenting on this in an interview with the YouTube channel
“A lot of people do not understand me, even in my family. They don’t understand why I invest so much money in football. I don’t know how my children will hold up after me, I’m not going to live forever. But I have a feeling: as long as there is Povorozniuk, there is Ingulets. And he won’t stay there for long. “Ingulets was, is and will remain with me. This is my fourth child,” he emphasized.
Povorozniuk added that he relies on young players.
“It costs money to raise a player, but these costs are quite justified. “We recently sold Artem Smolyakov to Polissia, and Polissia sold him to MLS. Now we have to pay 20% of the transfer amount, which amounted to 2 million hryvnias. The bet is on the youth, this is all done for the youth,” he said.
