Famous farmer and football official Oleksandr Povorozniuk in an interview with YouTube channel "Komersant Ukrainian"youTube channel, he told how he “donated” his son’s car to the army.

He clarified that at the beginning of the war he made a tough decision: he instructed the military at checkpoints to take cars from all drivers detained under the influence of alcohol and transfer them to the front.

“I have a very developed sense of justice. If I catch a drunk driver, I take the car and send it to the guys at the front. At first, no one believed that I was serious,” said Povorozniuk.

So, he demonstrated the principle of equality before the law by the example of his son.

“At 2 a.m. I got a call: “Hryhorovych, your son was stopped.” I came, took his car – a Toyota FG Cruiser – and sent him to the front. The law should be the same for everyone. Even for my son,” he emphasized.

As written by "Komersant Ukrainian", the law on mobilization, which came into force on May 18, 2024, provides for the seizure of cars and property for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
