Olympics 2026: schedule of Ukrainian athletes’ performances on February 20

On February 20, 2026, the Ukrainian national team will continue its participation in the XXV Winter Olympic Games in Milan-Cortina (Italy). On this day, Ukrainian athletes will compete in two sports — ski acrobatics (freestyle) and biathlon, where medals will be awarded.

This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the NOC of Ukraine.

The competitions will be held in qualifying rounds and finals, and Ukrainian athletes will have a chance to compete for a place in the final and Olympic medals.

Freestyle (ski acrobatics): Ukrainians compete for the final

Four athletes will represent Ukraine in ski acrobatics. The competition will be held in two qualifying stages.

Qualification No. 1 — 11:30 a.m. (Kyiv time)

The following athletes will compete in the first qualifying round:

  • Yan Gavryuk
  • Dmytro Kotovskyi
  • Maksym Kuznetsov
  • Oleksandr Okipniuk

According to the rules, the six best athletes will automatically advance to the final, while the others will get another chance in the second qualifying round.

Qualification No. 2 — 12:15

Athletes who did not qualify for the final after the first jump will advance to the second qualifying round.

Final — 2:30 p.m.

The 12 best athletes will compete in the final to determine the winners and medalists of the 2026 Olympics.

Ski acrobatics is traditionally one of Ukraine’s strongest disciplines, with athletes regularly achieving high results at the international level.

Biathlon: Dmytro Pidruchnyi fights for medals in the mass start

Two athletes will represent Ukraine in the biathlon mass start discipline:

  • Dmytro Pidruchnyi
  • Vitaliy Mandzyn

The competition will start at 3:15 p.m. Kyiv time.

The mass start is one of the most prestigious disciplines in biathlon, where the strongest athletes of the Olympics compete simultaneously. It is here that the fate of medals is often decided.

Dmytro Pidruchnyi is one of the most experienced Ukrainian biathletes and has significant international experience competing in world championships and Olympic Games.
