Olympics 2026: schedule of Ukrainian athletes’ performances on February 18 — when to watch biathlon, freestyle skiing, and skiing

Today, February 18, Ukrainian athletes will compete in five sports at the XXV Winter Olympic Games in Milan-Cortina (Italy). Representatives of the Ukrainian national team will compete in cross-country skiing, alpine skiing, freestyle skiing, biathlon, and short track speed skating. Medals will be awarded in several disciplines today, including the biathlon relay and ski acrobatics. This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the NOC of Ukraine.

Fans will be able to follow the performances of Ukrainians throughout the day — from morning qualifiers to evening finals.

Ski racing: Ukraine fights for the team sprint final

Ukrainian skiers will be the first to start in the team sprint. Qualifications began at 10:45 a.m., with Anastasia Nikon and Sofia Shkatula representing Ukraine.

Dmytro Dragun and Oleksandr Lisogor will compete in the men’s qualifying round at 11:15 a.m. The 15 best teams will advance to the final.

The finals are scheduled for:

  • 12:45 p.m. — women’s final
  • 1:15 p.m. — men’s final

Alpine skiing: Anastasia Shepilenko to compete in slalom

Ukrainian athlete Anastasia Shepilenko will compete in the slalom:

  • 11:00 — first attempt
  • 14:30 — second attempt (based on the results of the first)

This discipline requires high technical skill and speed, and the results of both runs will determine the athlete’s final place.

Freestyle: Ukrainian women will compete for the final in ski acrobatics

Four Ukrainian athletes will compete in the ski acrobatics qualification:

  • Oksana Yatsyuk
  • Angelina Brykina
  • Diana Yablonska
  • Nelly Popovich

The qualification will start at 11:00, with the second attempt at 11:45. The 12 best athletes will advance to the final.

The final will take place at 2:00 p.m.

Biathlon: women’s relay will be the main event of the day

Ukrainian fans will be most interested in the women’s 4×6 km biathlon relay, which starts at 3:45 p.m.

Ukraine will be represented by:

  • Oleksandra Merkushyna
  • Yulia Dzhima
  • Krystyna Dmytrenko
  • Daryna Chalyk

Short track: Oleg Gandey will compete in the quarterfinals in the 500-meter race

In the evening, Ukrainian athlete Oleg Gandey will compete in short track:

  • 9:15 p.m. — quarterfinals
  • 9:44 p.m. — semifinals (if he qualifies)
  • 10:32 p.m. — final (if he qualifies)

This is one of the most dynamic disciplines of the Winter Games, where the result is decided by hundredths of a second.
