2026 Olympic Games: who tops the medal table

The 2026 Winter Olympics will take place from February 6 to 22 in the Italian cities of Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo.

Almost 3,000 athletes from 85 countries will take part in the competitions. They will compete for 116 sets of medals in 16 Olympic disciplines, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".

Ukraine will be represented at the 2026 Olympic Games by 46 athletes in 11 sports: figure skating, biathlon, freestyle skiing, alpine skiing, skeleton, cross-country skiing, luge, Nordic combined, short track speed skating, snowboarding, and ski jumping.

Medal count at the 2026 Olympics

After the 13th day of competition, Norway leads the medal standings. In total, representatives of 27 teams participating in the Olympics have won medals.

Let us remind you that at the two previous Winter Olympics, the Ukrainian team returned with one medal. In both cases, freestyle skier Oleksandr Abramenko climbed onto the podium.

He won gold in Pyeongchang in 2018 and silver in Beijing in 2022.
