2026 Olympic Games: schedule of Ukrainian athletes’ performances on February 9

On Monday, February 9, 2026, the third day of competition will take place at the 2026 Winter Olympics in the Italian cities of Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo, with new starts and opportunities for Ukrainian athletes. On this day, the “blue and yellows” will compete in two sports — luge and ski jumping, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
On the third day of the 2026 Olympics, competitions will be held in nine sports. Compared to the previous day, there will be events in freestyle and ski jumping, while biathlon and cross-country skiing will have a day off.
A total of five sets of medals will be awarded in alpine skiing, freestyle skiing, ski jumping, snowboarding, and speed skating.

According to the official website of the 2026 Winter Olympics, representatives of the Ukrainian national team will compete in two sports.
Luge (single sled)
6:00 p.m. — women, first run:
19. Yulianna Tunitska;
24. Olena Smaga.
7:35 p.m. — women, second run:
Based on the results of the first run.
Ski jumping (individual competition, normal hill) (medals will be awarded)
20:00 — men, first round:
12. Vitaliy Kalinichenko;
14. Yevhen Marusiak.
21:12 — men, 2nd round:
Based on the results of the first round.
These are the key events that fans are looking forward to. According to sports media reports, these performances will be central to the Ukrainian team on the third day of competition.
What else is happening at the Games
The Games feature 16 sports and 116 sets of medals — 7 more than in Beijing 2022.
Ukrainian athletes are competing not only in luge and ski jumping, but also in biathlon, freestyle, figure skating, short track, skiing, and other disciplines.
In total, Ukraine is represented by 46 athletes in 11 sports at the Games, but no medals have been won yet by the third day.
