24 July 2024 10:39
The official opening ceremony of the 2024 Olympic Games should take place only on July 26, but already today, competitions in some sports will start at the tournament.
Yes, today will be the first matches of group tournaments for football and rugby-7.
And right away, a historic event awaits us – the first match of the Ukrainian football team at the Olympic Games.
It will take place at 20:00 Kyiv time, and the opponent of the Ukrainian national team will be Iraq. The Ukrainian national team is the favorite in the match. For her victory, bookmakers from the William Hill office give a coefficient of 1.7, while for the victory of Iraq – 4.75.
At the same time, Ukraine is far from the favorite of the entire tournament – bookmakers estimate the chances of our national team as absolutely mediocre.

Moreover, Ukraine is not even among the favorites to exit the group, because in addition to Iraq, it has to play against the surprisingly strong teams of Argentina and Morocco.
