OLX is flooded with ads for protection against illegal mobilisation: what is offered and how much does it cost

Recently, the OLX classifieds service has been flooded with messages about the provision of legal services to protect against illegal mobilisation. Kommersant Ukrayinsky 
decided to find out what lawyers offer to persons liable for military service and how much legal support on these issues can cost.
What lawyers offer
Currently, OLX offers 620 relevant ads for the query “military lawyer”. Most often, lawyers offer services to help update data, enlistment, and undergo a military qualification examination in different cities of Ukraine: from Kyiv to Uzhhorod.
Some lawyers are also ready to help those liable for military service with the registration of permanent care for persons in need. It is known that such documents can act as a deferral from mobilisation.
At the same time, lawyers are ready to help not only with mobilisation issues: they also offer services to active military personnel.
The cost of legal advice
A number of lawyers in their messages emphasise free consultations and the possibility of assistance both online and offline. However, it is not known whether such consultations are actually free and how effective they are.

“The demand is also provoked by the rise in prices in this area: the average cost of a lawyer on mobilisation issues is 2-3 thousand UAH. Of course, there are cheaper offers on the market, but the average price is like this,”
– she said.
The lawyer said that citizens are now interested not only in consultations, but also in escorting them to the CMC.
“There are people liable for military service who do not want to go to the CCC on their own, they ask to be accompanied by a lawyer. The prices are very different here: some lawyers determine the price based on the number of hours of work, and an hour of a lawyer with a client can cost 2-3 thousand UAH, depending on how much time is spent. Sometimes, payment for a package costs at least UAH 30 thousand. It all depends on the qualifications of the lawyer. Given the huge queues in the TCC, the cost of such services has increased significantly,”
