Bogolyubov’s escape

Earlier, the Pechersky district court of Kiev decided to arrest Hennadiy Boholyubov, who left Ukraine back in the summer, using forged documents.

According to the GBR, Bogolyubov illegally left the territory of Ukraine accompanied by his close relative on June 24, 2024, while on the train “Kiev – Chelm”. According to his documents, the oligarch did not cross the Ukrainian border. He left on an invalid passport of a citizen of Ukraine, which is physically in Ukraine and did not leave the country.

“At the same time to the Polish border guards oligarch showed already his personal passport of a citizen of Ukraine to travel abroad.”

According toUkrainska Pravda, Bogolyubov left Ukraine on the passport of a resident of the Volyn region, 67-year-old Mykola Kupriyanovich Syumak, who lost his passport back in the spring of 2022.

PrivatBank case

The VAKS ruling previously revealed that PrivatBank money was laundered, among other things, through the Jewish Community of Ukraine.

The community was founded in 1999, but became active after Igor Kolomoisky was elected president. The founders and members of the community are Jewish public organizations and associations. The main office is located in the Menorah JCC, Dnipro city.

Gennady Bogolyubov is a representative of the leadership of the Jewish Community of Ukraine and heads the Jewish Community of Dnipro in the status of president.

According to the investigation, in total, the former owners of the so-called PrivatBank group withdrew more than UAH 5.8 billion from PrivatBank. In this proceeding Igor Kolomoisky has the status of a suspect and is in pre-trial detention. At the same time, some media outlets linked Bogolyubov’s sudden escape from Ukraine to the alleged intentions of law-enforcement agencies to hand him a suspicion in the PrivatBank case.
