The Ombudsman reacted to the death of a 32-year-old man while undergoing VVK in Chernivtsi

On Friday, February 7, it became known about the death of a 32-year-old man who was undergoing VVK in Chernivtsi. This was reported by the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets, informs "Komersant Ukrainian"
According to the ombudsman, the information was discovered during the monitoring of social networks. The tragic incident occurred in the morning of February 7, 2025.
The representative of Dmitry Lubinets in Chernivtsi region has already sent letters to the regional TCC and SP, Chernivtsi zonal department of the VSP and GU of the National police in Chernivtsi region.
“It is preliminarily known that law enforcement authorities found a local resident who was wanted for evading mobilization. The man was invited to clarify the military registration information, to which he agreed. However, during the VVK his condition deteriorated sharply and he lost consciousness,” Lubinets wrote.
According to information from the general director of the regional center of emergency medical care, doctors caught the man in a state of clinical death. Resuscitative actions did not help. The body was sent for forensic examination to find out the cause of death.
“Investigative authorities have launched a pre-trial investigation, qualifying the event as “natural death”,” the ombudsman added.

According to the National police, the body of the Chernivtsi man was sent for forensic medical examination to establish the cause of death.
Information about the event police investigators entered into the unified register of pre-trial investigations under article 115 with the note “Natural death” of the Criminal code of Ukraine.
The pre-trial investigation continues.
