Ombudsman: employees of TCC are obliged to speak Ukrainian

Taras Kremin, the Commissioner for the Protection of the State Language, said that employees of the TCC and SPs are obliged to speak the state language and use it in the performance of their duties in accordance with the Law of Ukraine “On Ensuring the Functioning of the Ukrainian Language as the State Language,” "Komersant Ukrainian" reports

Kremin noted that the staff positions of the territorial recruitment and social support centres are filled by military personnel, civil servants and employees of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The language ombudsman reminded the staff of the TSCs of the law on the state language.

“In view of the above, we remind you that in accordance with Articles 9 and 15 of the Law on the State Language, employees of the TCC and JVs are obliged to speak the state language and use it in the performance of their official duties,”

– the Commissioner for the Protection of the State Language reminded.

The Ombudsman noted that documents should also be kept in the state language. The same applies to exercises, teams and educational activities.

“Compliance with the requirements of the language law on the mandatory use of the state language in the field of military administration and activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is a guarantee of unity and strengthening of the defence capability of our state,”

– said Kremin.
