“The 2026 Oscars”: Who Took Home the Prestigious Statues

The 98th Academy Awards ceremony, the most prestigious film awards, took place on the night of March 16 at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".

American comedian and TV host Conan O’Brien hosted the ceremony for the second year in a row. In Ukraine, theater and film actor and theater director Oleksiy Hnatkovsky provided commentary and hosted the ceremony.

“Oscars 2026” – Winners

During the ceremony, winners were traditionally announced in 24 categories:

  • Best Picture: “One Battle After Another”;
  • Best Actress: Jessie Buckley – “Hamnet”;
  • Best Actor: Michael B. Jordan – “Sinners”;
  • Best Director: Paul Thomas Anderson – “One Battle After Another”;
  • Best International Feature Film: “Sentimental Value”;
  • Best Original Song: Golden – “K-Pop Demon Hunters”;
  • Best Supporting Actress: Amy Madigan – “Weapons”;
  • Best Animated Feature Film: “K-Pop Demon Hunters”;
  • Best Animated Short Film: “The Girl Who Cried Pearls”;
  • Best Costume Design: “Frankenstein”;
  • Best Makeup and Hairstyling: “Frankenstein”;
  • Best Casting: “One Battle After Another”;
  • Best Short Film: “Singers,” “Two People Exchanging Saliva”;
  • Best Supporting Actor: Sean Penn – “One Battle After Another”;
  • Best Adapted Screenplay: “One Battle After Another”;
  • Best Original Screenplay: “Sinners”;
  • Best Production Design: “Frankenstein”;
  • Best Visual Effects: “Avatar: Fire and Ashes”;
