Pensions in Ukraine will increase in March: the Ministry of Social Policy has announced the limits of the increase

Pensions in Ukraine will be recalculated for most pensioners in March. According to the plan, the maximum increase will be 2,595 hryvnia.
Social Policy Minister Denis Ulyutin spoke about the rules for the March pension indexation in a quick interview with RBC-Ukraine, reports "Komersant Ukrainian".

- Indexation range: From March 1, payments will increase by at least 100 hryvnia, and the maximum amount of the supplement is limited to 2,595 hryvnia.
- New minimum: For non-working pensioners, the minimum payment will increase from UAH 3,038 to UAH 3,406.
- Maximum limit: The upper limit of the pension remains unchanged at UAH 25,950 (ten subsistence minimums).
- Exception for military personnel: The maximum pensionlimit does not apply to defenders of Ukraine, whose payments are regulated by a special law during the aggression.

Starting March 1, Ukraine will see a planned indexation of pensions, which will cover the vast majority of pensioners. The amount of the increase for each citizen will be individual, as it is calculated based on insurance experience and the current amount of payments.
Maximum increase amounts
As Ulyutin explains, clear indexation limits have been set:
Minimum increase: even with a small calculation, the increase will be at least 100 hryvnia.
Maximum increase: the indexationamount cannot exceed 2,595 hryvnia.
Minimum and maximum pensions from March 1
Ukraine continues to operate a multi-level system of minimum payments. Key indicators after recalculation:
For non-working pensioners: the minimum payment will increase from 3,038 hryvnia to 3,406 hryvnia.
Maximum pension: will remain at UAH 25,950.
Important: Themaximum pension is limited by law and cannot exceed ten subsistence minimums for persons who have lost their ability to work.
Exceptions to restrictions:
The limit of UAH 25,950 does not apply to pensions of defenders of Ukraine who were appointed during the Russian aggression in accordance with the law “On pension provision for persons discharged from military service…”.
