On Monday, December 15, negotiations between the Ukrainian and American delegations on the US peace plan will continue in Berlin.

This is reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to Handelsblatt.

“On Monday, Berlin will continue to try to mediate a potential ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia. Specific proposals under consideration have not yet been disclosed,” the publication says.

The publication also writes that the US has previously recognized the prospects for success in the Berlin talks.

A number of media outlets report that the talks discussed the issues of Donbas and security guarantees, but the details are unknown.

Zelenskyy’s advisor Dmytro Lytvyn said that the talks in Berlin had ended. He confirmed that the parties had agreed to continue them today.

As a reminder, Ukraine, the United States, and Europe have been finalizing the American peace plan for almost a month now, which in its original version was in favor of Russia.

The other day, the media reported that the parties were discussing three initiatives: a framework document, a security guarantee agreement, and a document defining the principles of post-war reconstruction.

On the night of Saturday, December 14, the WSJ published a story stating that Trump would send his special envoy, Steve Witkoff, to Berlin to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and European leaders. The Ukrainian head of state confirmed that he would meet with Trump’s team in Berlin.
