putin’s “truce”: almost 200 battles took place at the front

Despite the fact that Russia allegedly declared a “truce” from May 8 to 10, 193 combat engagements took place on the frontline over the past day. A third of the fighting took place in the Pokrovsk sector. This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the General Staff of Ukraine.

The enemy launched one missile and 18 air strikes at the positions of Ukrainian units and settlements, used one missile and dropped 32 aerial bombardments. In addition, it carried out almost 4000 attacks, 67 of which were from multiple launch rocket systems, and used 2659 kamikaze drones to defeat them.

The aggressor carried out air strikes, in particular, in the areas of Brusky, Boyar-Lezhachi, Vorozhba, Yastrubyne, Bilopillya, Nova Sloboda in Sumy region.

Situation at the front

Inthe Kharkiv sector, our troops repelled four enemy attacks in the area of Vovchansk.

Inthe Kupyansk sector, four occupants’ attacks also took place yesterday. Defense forces repelled the enemy’s assault near Sinkivka, Stepova Novoselivka, Nova Kruhlyakivka and in the direction of Novoosynove.

The enemy attacked inthe Liman direction 27 times. He tried to advance near the settlements of Nadiya, Novoyehorivka, Ridkodub, Hrekivka, Novomykhailivka, Kolodyazi, Zelena Dolyna and Torske.

Ukrainian troops repelled five enemy assaults in the vicinity of Bilohorivka and Fedorivka in the Siversky sector.

Inthe Kramatorsk sector, six firefights were registered in the areas of Chasovyi Yar and Kurdyumivka.

Inthe Toretsk sector, the enemy made nine attacks on the positions of the Defense Forces near Krymske and Toretsk.

Inthe Pokrovsk sector, our defenders stopped 71 assault and offensive actions of the aggressor in the areas of Oleksandropil, Yelizavetivka, Hrodivka, Myrolyubivka, Dachanske, Zvirove, Kotlyne, Udachne, Novooleksandrivka, Kotlyarivka, Preobrazhenka and Andriivka.

Inthe Novopavlivka sector, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 28 enemy attacks near Rozlyv, Novosilka, Novopil, Pryvilne, Burlatske and in the direction of Odradne.

Inthe Orikhivsk sector, our defenders repelled three enemy attacks in the areas of Stepove and Shcherbaky.

Inthe Prydniprovsky sector, the aggressor’s units made five unsuccessful attempts to advance on the positions of our troops yesterday.

Ukrainian Defense Forces units repelled 19 attacks of the Russian invaders in the Kursk sector yesterday. In addition, the enemy launched 9 air strikes using 17 guided bombs, and fired 274 artillery shells at our troops’ positions and localities, including six from multiple launch rocket systems.

No enemy offensives were registered inthe Huliaipil sector over the last day.

No signs of the formation of offensive groups of the aggressor were detected inthe Volyn and Polissya directions.

Enemy losses

Over the past day, the aviation, missile troops and artillery of the Defense Forces struck 16 areas of concentration of personnel and equipment of the Russian invaders, two control points, five artillery pieces, a military stockpile storage facility and four other important occupiers’ facilities.

In total, the losses of the Russian invaders amounted to 1300 people over the past day. Ukrainian troops also neutralized four tanks, four armored combat vehicles, 36 artillery systems, one MLRS, an air defense system, 39 tactical UAVs and 120 vehicles.

The total combat losses of the enemy from February 24, 2022 to May 9, 2025 are estimated to be
