The Ministry of Culture has added the state-owned enterprise Mobile Circus of Ukraine to the list of critical enterprises. As a result, it will have reservations for 50% of those liable for military service. This was announced by MP Oleksiy Zheleznyak and published the relevant document, Komersant ukrainskyi https://www.komersant.info/ reports.

“The same status was given to the State Enterprise “Travelling Circus of Ukraine”… a critical enterprise, institution, organisation for the functioning of the economy and ensuring the livelihoods of the population in a special period,”

– zheleznyak wrote.

According to the company’s website, it consists of 8 circus troupes and employs 255 people. Thus, all of these establishments have reservations for 50% of those liable for military service.

The working conditions of circus troupes are of a permanent travelling nature, i.e. they move daily from one touring venue to another, where they perform circus shows for residents of villages, towns, district and regional centres where there are no stationary circuses.

The Ministry of Culture has recognised the TV channels participating in the United News telethon as critical for ensuring the functioning of the economy and the livelihoods of the population during the special period.

We would like to add that on 4 April, Kommersant Ukrainian published an article on whether journalists will eventually have reservations and which media outlets are entitled to them.
