Drivers were obliged to fill out a questionnaire during the inspection and scanning while driving across the Crimean bridge. This is reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to Russian propaganda media.
The questionnaire must indicate the make, model, and license plate of the vehicle, as well as whether the car has an electric traction system. If it turns out that the driver is trying to drive an electric car or a hybrid, he or she will not be allowed to cross.
Last week, it became known that starting November 3, Russians will be banned from driving these vehicles across the Crimean Bridge from the Krasnodar Territory. The State Duma called the move a necessary measure to strengthen security.
Similar restrictions are already in place for trucks. Trucks can use an alternative land route from Taganrog to Dzhankoy. According to media reports, the restrictions are related to attempts to smuggle explosives for terrorist attacks in the traction batteries of vehicles.
