Eight mines in the Dnipropetrovs’k region have lost power due to the Russian attack. Almost 2,600 miners remained underground, and their rescue is underway.

This is reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the Ministry of Energy’s Telegram.

“As a result of another Russian attack in the Dnipro region, eight coal mines were de-energized. At the time of the incident, 2,595 miners were underground,” the Energy Ministry said.

It is reported that rescuers and mine personnel promptly organized the removal of people to the surface. According to preliminary information, no one was killed or injured as a result of the enemy shelling.

“Russia continues its energy terror. Another attack has jeopardized the lives of thousands of miners. Russia continues to fight civilians. The Russians’ tactics are clear – to leave Ukrainians without electricity and heat in winter,” said Energy Minister Svitlana Hrynchuk.

Earlier it was reported that on October 19, the occupants massively attacked a coal mine of DTEK energy company in Dnipropetrovska oblast. Almost 200 people were trapped underground as a result of the attack.

Earlier, on August 26, Russian troops attacked a mine of the DTEK energy company. The attack killed one worker and injured three others.
