The SBU and the National Police have detained an FSB agent who blew up the car of a military prosecutor in Odesa on January 20 on the orders of Russian supervisors. This is reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the Telegram channel of the Security Service of Ukraine.
The perpetrator of the terrorist attack, which blew up a Lexus car belonging to a current prosecutor who previously served as the head of a group of specialized military prosecutors, was an 18-year-old resident of Odesa.
According to the instructions of the Russian special service, the young man made an improvised explosive device (IED) in a rented apartment with a capacity of 300 grams of TNT equivalent. To increase the destructive power, he additionally stuffed the explosive with metal nuts and placed it under the military prosecutor’s car.

The attacker also installed a hidden cell phone with a remote access function for the FSB in front of his target. The Russian special service then remotely activated the explosives.

If the detainee’s guilt is proven, he faces up to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property.
