Support for military families: specialists complete the first stage of training

The Armed Forces of Ukraine have completed the first stage of training for support services specialists who will provide support to the military and their families. This was announced by Deputy Defense Minister Serhiy Melnyk, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.

According to him, representatives of five combat brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine out of ten planned for this project were trained.

“We launched this project to ensure that our military feel supported both during and after service. The army is a family. And we have to take care of each other and do our best to let our brothers and sisters know that they can count on help,” Melnyk said.

The training program lasted five days and included legal aid, the basics of psychological support, medical support and the specifics of working with families of killed, missing and captured soldiers. It also included trainings on sharing experience with volunteer organizations.

It is known that this pilot project is part of a broader strategy to support military personnel.
