Following shelling by the Ukrainian Armed Forces: power, water, and heating outages have begun in Belgorod, Russia

Energy infrastructure facilities were damaged as a result of an attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on Belgorod and the Belgorod region in Russia. This was reported by the operational headquarters of the Belgorod region, according to [Komersant], citing Russian propaganda media.

The statement specifies that the region’s administrative center and surrounding areas were subjected to a massive rocket barrage.

“According to preliminary information, there are no casualties. <...> Disruptions in electricity, water, and heat supply have been reported,” the operational headquarters said.

They added that a fire broke out at one of the facilities in Belgorod due to the actions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Emergency services personnel were dispatched to the scene to extinguish the blaze.

“In addition, the windows of an apartment building were damaged,” the statement noted.

Currently, personnel from all emergency services are working at the scene. Further details about the incident are being clarified.
