After the talks between the US and Russia: what Zelensky and Kellogg talked about in Kyiv (video)

on February 20, 2025, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met in Kyiv with US Special Representative Keith Kellogg. The Ukrainian leader reported on how the meeting went on his official Telegram channel, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
“Meeting with General Kellogg. Good conversation, many details. I am grateful to the United States for all the assistance and bipartisan support for Ukraine and the Ukrainian people,” the Ukrainian president wrote.
Zelenskyy added that he had discussed in detail with General Kellogg the situation on the battlefield and how to return all Ukrainian prisoners, as well as effective security guarantees.
“Ukraine is ready for a strong, really useful agreement with the President of the United States on investment and security. We have proposed the fastest and most constructive way to achieve the result. Our team is ready to work 24/7,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy assured.
It should be noted that a joint press conference following the talks was originally planned, but was canceled at the request of the American side. Zelenskyy‘s spokesman, Serhiy Nikiforov, said that the format of the meeting provided only for protocol filming without press statements or answers to questions.
Kellogg arrived in Kyiv on February 19, immediately after the US-Russia talks in Riyadh, in which he participated. He stated that he came to Ukraine to listen to the Ukrainian side and emphasized the readiness of the United States to provide the necessary support.
Earlier, on February 17, Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed his intention to visit the front line with Kellogg and meet with the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, as well as with the commanders of several brigades. The purpose of this visit was to provide the American representative with an opportunity to personally assess the situation on the front line and discuss security issues.
