New leadership has been appointed at the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Oleksandr Malysh, who was previously the first deputy head of the unit, will temporarily act as the unit’s head. This was announced by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports

“The main service center must meet the high expectations of both the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and citizens. The main indicator of the effectiveness of our work should be people’s trust. Service centers should be clear, transparent and convenient for everyone,” said Leonid Tymchenko, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.

Malysh thanked for the trust of the Ministry and emphasized that he would contribute to improving the quality of service provision, ensuring transparency and openness of the service centers, as well as strengthening interaction with citizens:

“We are currently facing many challenges. I hope that our joint work will bring results and that Ukrainian citizens will receive all the necessary services at the highest level. It will be difficult, but we are ready to work efficiently,” Malysh said.

Andriy Onufrey, who was previously in charge of implementing the Unified Weapons Register, has been appointed Deputy Head of the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Digital Innovations.

Oleksandr Malysh was the head of the patrol police in Rivne region, and before that he was in charge of the patrol police in Kramatorsk and Sloviansk.

In addition, Malysh participated in combat operations as a platoon commander of the Dnipro-1 Special Forces Battalion and has received a number of state awards.

Scandal with luxury cars at the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs

It is worth noting that the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Kyiv is at the center of a scandal. An investigation by Bihus.Info journalists revealed ineffective work and undeclared luxury cars owned by employees of this agency.

In particular, according to the declaration, Oleksandr Boyko, the head of the MIA service center, rents an apartment and drives his father’s car, which is ten years old. The official’s wife shows a completely different life on her Instagram page. In particular, her account includes photos of BMW X3 cars that cost more than $50,000, Volkswagen ID.4 electric cars that start at $30,000, and a BMW IX3 worth $60,000.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine has initiated a large-scale reform of the Main Service Center (MSC) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

In accordance with an order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, an unscheduled internal audit has begun at the MSC to analyze the unit’s activities. Particular attention is paid to the Territorial Service Center No. 8041 in Kyiv, which was at the epicenter of a journalistic investigation.

In the near future, the NACP will conduct a thorough monitoring of the lifestyles of the people who were featured in the journalistic investigation.
