The Tax Service will get full access to Ukrainians’ accounts: when will it happen?

Starting in 2027, the State Tax Service of Ukraine may gain access to citizens’ accounts and information about their bank cells. MP Olha Vasylevska-Smagliuk said this during a national telethon on Thursday, December 5, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.

“The regulation on National Cashback states that after submitting an application, an offer agreement is activated, which gives the bank access to information about financial transactions on accounts through Diia,” explained Vasylevska-Smagliuk.

The MP added that officials are likely to refuse to receive the “Zelensky’s thousand”. One of the reasons is the need for declaration.

Olha Vasylevska-Smagliuk warned Ukrainians to read the bank’s offer agreement very carefully, in which they open a card to receive assistance from the state in the amount of UAH 1 thousand. This agreement of each bank is a separate activity of the bank, but they all have to comply with the terms of the National Cashback regulation because they are participants in this program.

“We are close to the point where the accounts of Ukrainians, as well as information about their bank cells, if anything is stored there, can be accessed by the State Tax Service starting in 2027, which is a requirement for joining the European Union,” the MP summarized.
