Tax and migration authorities to transfer data on 17-year-old Ukrainians to the TCC

The Central Election Commission, migration and tax services will transfer data on young people to the TCC from the age of 17. The relevant law was signed by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, reports "Komersant Ukrainian".
Currently, data is transferred to Oberig from the age of 18. It is also worth noting that the new law eliminates unnecessary bureaucracy and unreasonable transfer of data on all citizens under 60.
The document in question is the Draft Law on Amendments to Certain Laws of Ukraine on Improving the Procedure for Maintaining Military Records and Acquiring the Status of a War Veteran During Martial Law. It was registered in the Verkhovna Rada on 3 April 2024.
A group of MPs who initiated the draft law explained that the legislation does not currently provide for proper information interactions to collect the data necessary for the effective functioning of the Register of Conscripts, Persons Liable for Military Service and
reservists. And the lack of digitalisation of the process of granting combatant status
makes this process non-transparent, inconvenient, slow and creates corruption risks. That is why the time has come to adopt the relevant law.
What does the law, signed by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, provide for
- development and approval by the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine and the Security Service of Ukraine of sectoral and/or targeted security profiles for relevant information, electronic communication and information and communication systems
- establishing special conditions for the processing of information in the military and defence sector by the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine in its own systems for the period of martial law;
- digitalisation of the process of granting combatant status;
- expanding the list of information processed in the Unified State Register of Conscripts, Persons Liable for Military Service and Reservists and establishing information interaction with other systems to obtain such information.
