21 February 2025 18:52

Charitable foundations, public organizations and volunteers who help during a full-scale war can receive the Varti award from Nova Poshta.

The first stage of selection for the award will run from February 20 to March 3. To nominate your volunteers, you need to fill out a short form on the project website:

  • write the name of the volunteer or the name of the organization;
  • choose one of 12 categories, such as “rescue and evacuation” or “do-it-yourself”
  • provide contact details of the candidate or candidates;
  • describe why this particular volunteer or team should receive the award.

After collecting the applications, the organizers will publish a short list of the most frequently nominated organizations, foundations and volunteers.

At the second stage, Ukrainians will vote for one candidate in each category. This will determine 12 winners.

How will the winners from the Humanitarian Nova Poshta be selected?

The Varti award will also be given to those who regularly use the services of the Humanitarian Nova Poshta. The service has been operating since 2014 and allows volunteers to transport humanitarian goods free of charge.

the 21 organizations and foundations will be selected based on the volume of shipments and other indicators within the Humanitarian New Mail.

“Ukrainian volunteers are people who are constantly on the move. They move forward despite fatigue and difficulties. They make titanic efforts and help because they cannot do otherwise. Today, over 2000 organizations and foundations use the services of the Humanitarian Nova Poshta. Last year alone, they sent 64 thousand tons of humanitarian aid. And how much work remains behind the scenes! That is why the Varta award is primarily about our gratitude to them,” said Inna Popereshnyuk, co-founder of Nova Poshta.
