Mykhailo Podolyak, an advisor to the head of the Presidential Office of Ukraine, was dismissed from his post following personnel changes in the leadership of the Presidential Office. He confirmed the news of his dismissal in a personal comment to "Komersant Ukrainian", emphasizing that it was a formal procedure related to the vacancy of the head of the Presidential Office.

After the resignation of the head of the Presidential Office, Andriy Yermak, all his advisors and assistants, both full-time and part-time, were dismissed.

“In connection with the dismissal of the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, the persons who held the positions of assistants and advisers (full-time and part-time) to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine were dismissed from their positions,” the Presidential Office said in a response to a request from Ukrainski Novyny.

However, the agency did not publish a list of specific individuals affected by these decisions.

Podolyak: I was formally dismissed, but I was reappointed

Mykhailo Podolyak confirmed that he was also dismissed along with other advisors, but later continued to work in the Presidential Office in a different status.

“Formally, everyone is indeed dismissed. This is logical, because the position is still vacant. I continue to work in the Office of the President as an advisor to the Office,” explained Podolyak.

Thus, according to him, it is not a matter of actual termination of work, but a legal procedure related to the change of the leadership of the Office of the President of Ukraine and the vacancy of the position of the head.

Who were Yermak’s advisors?

According to previous public statements by the Presidential Office, as of December 2024, Andriy Yermak had nine advisors.

Full-time advisors:

  • Oleksandr Bevz
  • Liliia Pashynna
  • Victoria Romanova
  • Tetiana Haiduchenko

Freelance advisors:

  • Sergiy Leshchenko
  • Daria Zarivna
  • Mykhailo Podoliak
  • Elina Elianova
  • Oleksandr Rodnyansky

After the personnel changes, some of them, including Mykhailo Podoliak, were reappointed and continue to work in the PGO, while information on the further status of other advisers has not been officially clarified.
