Weather in Ukraine: forecasters predict cold snap (map)

On Sunday, January 5, and Monday, January 6, Ukrainians will experience cold snaps and adverse weather events. This forecast was made by forecasters at the Ukrhydrometeorological Center, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
On Sunday, January 5, it will be cloudy in Ukraine with clearings. No precipitation, only light snow in the Carpathians and Transcarpathia. There is ice on the roads in some places.
The wind is mostly southwest, 5-10 m/s.
Temperatures at night will be 4-9° below zero, during the day from 3° below zero to 2° above zero; in the Carpathians at night 9-14°, during the day 1-6° below zero.
In addition, forecasters warn of avalanche danger. The threat is relevant on January 5-6 in the highlands of Ivano-Frankivsk and in the highlands of the eastern part of Zakarpattia regions.
Weather in Kyiv on January 5
On Sunday in Kyiv and the Kyiv region, it will be cloudy with clearings, no precipitation. There will be some ice on the roads.
The wind will be mostly southwest, 5-10 m/s.
The temperature at night will be 4-9° below zero, during the day from 3° below zero to 2° above zero; in Kyiv at night 4-6°, during the day 0-2° below zero.
Weather in Ukraine on January 6
On Monday, January 6, precipitation is not expected only in the east and south of Ukraine. The Meteorological Center forecasts light sleet and rain in the north, west and center of the country. Air temperatures will range from 7° Celsius in the south and Carpathian region to 7° Celsius in the east.
