Witnesses’ testimonies in Roman Sopin murder case are written “under copying” – lawyer

The lawyer of Roman Sopin’s family, Alexander Protas, suggested that the head of Podolsk TCC exercised influence on witnesses in the murder case of Roman Sopin. He stated this in an interview with the YouTube channel "Komersant Ukrainian".
“I was informed that there are ten witness statements. I began to look through them – they are “under copy” written, the same. This indicates that the head, taking advantage of his official powers, influenced to give identical testimony,” Protas said.
Recall, 43-year-old Roman Sopin died on October 23 in one of the capital’s hospitals. He went to the hospital on October 19. The day before, on October 18, Sopin was mobilized into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In the doctor’s death certificate one of the causes of death is indicated blunt force trauma.
Earlier, the lawyer of the family of Roman Sopin Alexander Protas reported that on the day of the incident between Roman and two men there was a conflict on the territory of Podolsk TCC.
In turn, the representative of the communications group of the Kiev city TCC Vitaly Silenko denies this information and notes that there were no reports of conflict situations.
“Roman Sopin was standing, communicating with other persons who were there. Suddenly he felt bad: he lost consciousness, fell and began to beat in convulsions,” – said Silenko.
Pre-trial investigation into the circumstances of Roman Sopin’s death continues. It is qualified under the article “premeditated murder.” Head of the Interior Ministry Igor Klimenko said that he was taking the case under his personal control. Military ombudsman Olga Reshetilova also counts on the effective work of law enforcers, she said on Facebook.
