Poles block the Medyka-Shehyni checkpoint

Polish protesters have started a campaign to block traffic in front of the Medyka-Shehyni checkpoint.

This was reported by the Western Regional Directorate of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.

Today, on September 6, at 12:50 a.m. Kyiv time, Polish protesters began a campaign to block traffic in the direction of the Medyka-Shehyni checkpoint. According to preliminary information, the restrictions will last for at least 6 hours with a possible extension.

The traffic restrictions apply only to trucks. Passes for cars and buses will be issued as usual.

Currently, 681 trucks are registered in the electronic queue to leave Ukraine. There are about 100 trucks waiting to enter Ukraine, which are already at a specially equipped parking lot. Nothing will prevent them from registering.

The location of the event is about one kilometer from the Polish checkpoint Medyka.

Any changes or complications in traffic will be reported additionally.
