The police are checking information about possible poisoning of drinking water brought to the site of the aftermath of the attack on the Okhmatdyt children’s hospital. This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the Main Department of the National Police in Kyiv.

Last night, volunteer Kateryna Terekhova said that unknown persons had brought bottles of poisoned water to Okhmatdyt, causing those who drank and came into contact with the liquid to suffer chemical poisoning.

“Today, a lot of people from Kyiv brought a lot of water to Okhmatdyt… The police came up. We said we were leaving the water for them and continued to gather. A minute later, the police called us and said: “What kind of water do you have?” You can see my face now. It is red. We all have chemical poisoning,”

– the volunteer said.

Terekhova added that the water was kept on a table and could be used by anyone.

According to her, after coming into contact with the liquid, everyone was immediately provided with the necessary medical care and given injections. One of the policemen washed his face with the liquid, the other drank it, and then was pumped out by paramedics.

Later, it turned out that the bottle of water was no different from others from the same manufacturer, except for a small difference in the image on the label. In particular, the bottle was insulated and undamaged.

“The police found this information while monitoring social media. The incident is being investigated,”

– the police said.

It is noted that medical workers have not yet received any appeals from citizens or police officers regarding possible water poisoning.
