According to the military, an operation is underway to identify and neutralize the targets. On the order of the commander, weapons were used, and the downed drones are being localized.
Polish citizens are urged to stay at home for the duration of the military operation. The most risky regions are Podlaskie, Mazowieckie and Lubelskie voivodeships.
“We emphasize that the military operation continues and urge people to stay at home. The most threatened are the Podlaskie, Mazovian and Lubelskie voivodeships,” the statement said.

During the night, Polish airports were closed due to reports of Russian drones in the airspace.
CNN reported the closure of Warsaw Chopin International Airport due to the threat of Russian attack drones that could enter Polish airspace from Ukraine.
Throughout the night, airports were also closed with the wording “due to unplanned military activity related to the security of the state” in Rzeszow and Lublin.
According to the Flightradar service, the skies over eastern and central Poland were patrolled by the country’s air force aircraft along with NATO aircraft.
The government assured that the situation is under constant control, and the troops are ready to respond quickly. This was emphasized by Polish Deputy Defense Minister Cezary Tomczyk, who confirmed the fact that the operation was conducted near the Polish border. He also added that the president and prime minister have received all the necessary information, and all services are actively working.
Prime Minister Donald Tusk also said that the Polish military had used weapons against the targets.
“I received a direct report from the operational commander,” Tusk said.
Poland is a NATO country. The Alliance’s treaty provides for collective defense, which means that an attack on one of the states is treated as an attack on the entire bloc.
