Polish giant buys a stake in Carpathian Spring: details of the AMCU decision

The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine has approved a deal under which Poland’s Maspex Group, one of the largest food producers in Central and Eastern Europe, will be able to acquire a stake in the Ukrainian mineral water producer Karpatska Dzherelna. This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the AMCU.

Maspex Group has received permission to acquire joint control over the two companies:

  • Carpathian Mineral Waters LLC
  • LLC “Trading House “Carpathian Mineral Waters”

The control will be exercised jointly with a citizen of Ukraine, whose name has not been disclosed. He acts through the Cypriot company Dynalum Finance Ltd.

In addition, the AMCU approved the concerted actions of Maspex, Dynalum Finance and the Ukrainian partner, including the fulfillment of non-competition and non-solicitation obligations.
