People’s Deputy from Servant of the People Oleksandr Kabanov has died: what is known

It has been reported that Oleksandr Kabanov, a member of the Ukrainian parliament of the ninth convocation from the Servant of the People party, has died. The politician was 52 years old.
His death was reported by MPs Jean Beleniuk and Oleksiy Goncharenko on their Telegram channels, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
The circumstances and causes of death are not currently being disclosed.

The first to write about Kabanov’s death was People’s Deputy from the Servant of the People party, Jean Beleniuk:
“According to my information, People’s Deputy Oleksandr Kabanov has died.”
This information was later confirmed by Oleksiy Goncharenko, a member of the European Solidarity party:
“Servant of the People MP Oleksandr Kabanov has died.”
Neither of them provided any details.
Who is Oleksandr Kabanov?
Oleksandr Kabanov was born on August 6, 1973, in Zaporizhia. He was a psychotherapist by training: he studied at the Zaporizhia Medical Institute and the I.M. Sechenov Moscow Medical Academy, specializing in psychotherapy.
Before entering politics, Kabanov worked as a child psychotherapist and was also known as a screenwriter for the Kvartal 95 studio.
Political career
In 2019, Oleksandr Kabanov was elected to the Ukrainian parliament as a member of the Servant of the People party . In the Verkhovna Rada, he was part of the parliamentary majority of the IX convocation.
The death of Oleksandr Kabanov was yet another loss for parliament in recent years. Last year, after a long illness, Serhiy Shvets, a member of parliament from the Servant of the People party, known in the past as a journalist for the 1 1 television channel, died.
In May 2025, Yuriy Hnatkevych, a member of parliament for three terms and a public and political figure known for his dissident activities during the Soviet period, also died.
