Today, there are about 15,000 debtors in Kyiv for land rent and land tax. As Kommersant has learned from its own sources in the Kyiv City State Administration, the amount in question is UAH 1.6 billion owed to the capital’s community by various business entities.

“We are talking about filling the city budget. The use of land plots in Kyiv is paid for. Moreover, the city counts on these funds when forming the annual budget. Unlike the personal income tax (PIT), the revenues from land lease go to the capital’s budget in full, without any deductions to the state budget. Kyiv has now received a picture where there is money, but in fact there is no money,”

– the source explained

He clarified that the list of debtors includes companies with unpaid land lease debts of more than UAH 10-20 million.

It should be noted that currently only 20-25% of tenants pay land tax and land rent on time during martial law.
