Damaged ships flying the flags of Palau and Barbados: Russian forces attacked a port in the Odesa region

On the night of March 20, Russian forces attacked a port in the Odesa region with drones. Two civilian commercial vessels flying the flags of Palau and Barbados were damaged.

This was reported by [Komersant], citing a Telegram post by Oleg Kipper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, and Oleksiy Kuleba, Deputy Prime Minister for Recovery and Minister of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine.

According to reports, as a result of the enemy’s nighttime attack with strike drones, two civilian commercial vessels flying the flags of Palau and Barbados, which were moored at the docks and loaded with grain, were damaged.

Despite this, the vessels remain afloat.

Administrative buildings were also damaged. Two people were injured.

In addition, a grain silo and equipment were damaged within the port area. The fires were quickly extinguished.

Cleanup efforts are ongoing at the sites of the incidents. Law enforcement agencies are documenting yet another war crime committed by Russian invaders.

Shelling of Ukraine

As a reminder, on the night of March 20, Russian troops attacked a number of regions in Ukraine with strike drones. Most of the enemy targets were destroyed by air defense forces.

At the same time, 19 strike drones were recorded hitting 13 locations, and downed enemy targets were found at 7 locations.

On the night of March 19, the Russians launched a massive drone attack on Odesa. As a result of the enemy shelling, more than a dozen buildings and a dormitory at one of the universities were damaged, and three people were injured.

The occupiers also attacked Lviv with drones late last night. The Main Directorate of the SBU in Lviv Oblast came under enemy fire, and Novovolynsk in Volyn Oblast was also under attack.
