Veteran’s certificate now available in Diia: how to add it

The Diia mobile app now offers a veteran’s certificate. It can be obtained not only by the military, but also by victims of war and families of fallen defenders. This was announced on Facebook by Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Education, Science and Technology Development – Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
The online document in Diia is analogous to a paper document.
An electronic document can be obtained by:
- combatants;
- people with war-related disabilities;
- veterans of the war;
- affected participants of the Revolution of Dignity;
- family members of deceased war veterans;
- family members of fallen defenders of Ukraine.
How to get a veteran’s certificate in Diia
In order to add a veteran’s certificate, you need to scroll through all electronic documents in the Diia app and click Add document. Then select Veteran’s certificate. The document will appear in the app within a few minutes.
The Ministry of Veterans noted that the e-Veteran ID can be used in Diia to receive benefits and compensation provided for by current legislation, including free travel in public transport, healthcare facilities, and education; when applying to administrative service centres; when applying for employment and starting a business; and when applying for benefits, allowances, and payments.
