Warm weather up to 20 degrees will give way to a cold snap with snow: what kind of weather Ukrainians can expect

This week, Ukraine will continue to experience mild spring weather with no sudden changes, and temperatures will gradually rise. By the end of the week, temperatures in some regions could reach 20 degrees.
Forecaster Natalia Golenia shared this in an exclusive comment to "Komersant Ukrainian".
What will the weather be like in Ukraine this week?
According to the meteorologist, no significant weather changes are expected in the coming days, but air temperatures will gradually rise due to the arrival of warm air masses from the south.
“There will be no significant changes in weather conditions this week. Temperatures across Ukraine will gradually rise through the weekend. Because warm air masses will prevail from the south and southwest, warmer air will flow into Ukraine,” explained Natalia Golenia.
According to her, daytime temperatures will range from:
- 14–20 degrees during the day
- 1–7 degrees at night (starting March 25).
“Temperatures will range from 14 to 20 degrees Celsius during the day. Nighttime temperatures will also be mostly above freezing—from 1 to 7 degrees Celsius,” the meteorologist noted.
What will the weather be like in Kyiv
A gradual warming is also expected in the capital. According to the forecast, by the end of the week, temperatures in Kyiv will reach comfortable spring levels.
“In Kyiv, daytime highs at the end of the week will be 15–18 degrees Celsius, while nighttime temperatures will stay around 3–6 degrees Celsius,” Natalia Golenia reported.
Will spring last long?
Despite the warm weather, forecasters warn that a temporary cold snap is possible in early April.
“According to preliminary forecasts, early April may be accompanied by rain. Wet snow is even possible at night, as a cooler air mass may move in from the north,” the expert noted.
According to her, temperatures may drop during this period:
- to 5–10 degrees during the day
- at night to 0–5 degrees.
Thus, in the coming days, Ukrainians will be able to enjoy true spring weather, though a brief cold snap is possible in early April.
