Ukraine will launch a passenger train to Bulgaria. The route will connect three countries and mark another step toward integration into the pan-European transport area. This was announced by Minister of Community and Territorial Development Oleksiy Kuleba, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
This involves a test run, which is planned to launch as early as this summer. The route will run through Romania—a joint effort by the three countries. This was discussed during a meeting with Bulgarian Transport Minister Korman Ismailov in Kyiv.

“One of the main issues was the launch of a passenger train between Ukraine and Bulgaria via Romania. This is a test run, which is planned to launch as early as this summer in cooperation between the three countries,” the minister wrote.
Details regarding the schedule, ticket prices, and specific stop cities have not yet been announced.
In addition to rail service, other transportation issues were also discussed at the meeting:
- the development of key international routes;
- the Danube cluster;
- road infrastructure.
“Launching a rail connection between Ukraine and Bulgaria is not only about convenience for people, but also about strengthening our integration with the European transport space,” said Oleksiy Kuleba.
The minister noted that there is real demand for this route. According to him, the countries will do everything possible to ensure it begins operating this summer.
