Ukraine cannot return to the traditional model of external independent testing because of the danger and shelling.

This was stated by Tetiana Vakulenko, director of the Ukrainian Center for Educational Quality Assessment (UCEQA), during her speech at the forum of educators and employers “Keeping the Youth "Komersant Ukrainian".

“Imagine that in the morning children are traveling from Zaporizhzhia or Kryvyi Rih to Dnipro for an exam, and on the way there is a rocket attack. We have no right to expose them to such danger. Therefore, there will be no classic EIT in wartime,” she emphasized.

According to Vakulenko, even abroad, Ukraine managed to agree with 33 countries to have applicants take the National Multisubject Test (NMT).

“This is not for show. It’s for the children who now live in Canada or Poland to feel it: Ukraine remembers them and the country needs them,” explained the head of the UCEQA.

As reported by [Kommersant]previously reported, Ukraine is returning the state final certification for 4th grade students in a new format – the EIT. However, this is not a classic EIT.
